The Human Resource Policy & Staffing Directorate, formerly Ministry of the Civil Service, facilitates the formulation and implementation of human resource policies; ensuring an adequate staffing complement and the best possible conditions of service.

The People Resourcing and Compliance Directorate, formerly Personnel Administration Division, is responsible for the implementation of policies on Human Resource Management. 

The Learning and Development Directorate, formerly Training Administration Division, has overall responsibility for coordinating human resource development in the Public Service of Barbados.
